Mixed Media

This is an experiment that I performed one day. The process included taking matboard and staining it with a wet tea bag. After the board had dried up I drew the picture of the person and shaded it with charcoal. The final stage was sit outside and set the edges of the drawing on fire. I was real impressed with the final design. I hope you guys will be interested to. If you would like a custom one made, please contact me. I will be glad to get you one made and it isn't a very long process either.
This is the second burn picture I did last year. I think I've mastered it. The first burn picture I did got framed and it turned out awesome. Will get pictures of it soon. This one I have to wait to frame for a couple of months.
This is a picture of that I did for my husband last year. He's always associated himself with ravens so I wanted to create a picture for him that represented him. The cup and the nails represent his salvation through Christ. I loved doing this picture too. The picture was done in pencil and the red parts were done in ink.
This was my first ever mixed media project that I did my senior year of High School. This was done in pencil, pen and ink, and metallic gel pen. Wish you guys could see the real effect it has in real life with the gel pen. It has a very shiny look to it. I called this one, "Prison Within Our Minds."
This one is called "Clearing the Mind." It was created on watercolor paper and consists of colored pencil, pastel, acrylic, and charcoal. This one hangs on the wall of my parents home where a good majority of my framed work sits. Our apartment can't hold all the artwork that I have. Good thing I have wonderful parents.

This one is called "Harvest Butterflies." Every year our church holds an annual harvest festival. After morning service we have a luncheon. Along with the luncheon there is a silent auction where the money raised from the event goes to help missionaries during Christmas. The original went to this auction and was sold. I do have prints available for this item too.

I will post more mixed media artwork as I go.
